JConcepts pre-mounts on +3mm Hazard wheels
After numerous requests JConcepts has hit the easy button once again and is now offering its most popular SCT tires pre-mounted on the new +3mm Hazard wheel. The Hazard wheel pre-mount combination fits a variety of vehicles including the SC10 RS, SC10 4×4 as a direct fit and SC10 FT, Losi XXX-SCT and SCB with 12mm hex adaptors.

JConcepts Pressure Points SC tires
JConcepts has introduced the Pressure Points, the latest low-height tread option specifically designed to tame high-speed courses with either wet or blue groove traction conditions. The design starts as an angular, low pin design as a carryover from the successful Bar Codes front tire line-up. The small “points” combined with ‘lower case’ Y elements developed on the original Bar Codes V1 rear tire provide the ultimate in surface area pressure penetration and tack. The inner side-wall has built-in ribbing which limits carcass collapse and increases support on the outside during hard cornering and driving. Designed to be driven hard while maintaining the grip necessary to drive at the limit, the edges of the side-walls have been carefully rolled for a smooth transition during corning which limits traction-roll characteristics and allows the driver control during the all important tipping point every driver has experienced. Available in Soft (Blue), Super Soft (Green) Indoor Soft (Gold) and Outdoor hot (Orange) compounds.

X Factory Tire Mounting Cleaner
X Factory release the tire mounting cleaner, a specially formulated chemical to remove mould release, oil, grease or general dirt from both the tyre and wheel’s bead in order to provide a perfect underground for gluing tyre and wheels. The cleaner evaporates quickly leaving no residue for a swift workflow.

Sneak Preview – dBoots Nanobyte tyre
dBoots have a new tyre on the way and the company got in touch to give us a a sneaky preview. The Nanobyte is designed for multi-surface indoor off-road racing and features a unique tread pattern featuring micro pins and slightly larger step-up pins. The tyres are available soon for Short Course trucks as well as 1/10th scale 2WD and 4WD buggies.

Schumacher Mini Spike & Mini Pin SC tires
Schumacher have made their first foray into the Short Course Tyre market with these Mini Spike and Mini Pin examples. Classic Schumacher tire designs generated from years of experience and race winning. Firstly the Mini Spike, highly suitable for Grass, Astro, Carpet and general use, it is less aggressive than the Mini Pin but with excellent grip. A great tire for Astro and Carpet, the Mini-Pin has maximum traction and aggression. To tune the car it may be required to trim some pins from the front tires for less bite, or try Blue front, Yellow rear. Both are available in two compounds Blue (hard) & Yellow (soft) and are supplied in pairs without inserts.

AKA R-Line SC pre-mount series
AKA have announced the addition of their Short Course tires to their R-Line pre-mount series. Short Course R-Line pre-mounts feature AKA’s Cyclone wheel made from AKA’s proprietary blend of high impact nylon. Inside the tire is AKA’s industry leading soft red insert designed to decrease the lateral deflection of the tire while at the same time increasing the vertical impact absorption therefore providing better handling in the bumps. The lateral grooves allow the insert to flex vertically and absorb large impacts while still maintaining lateral stability and overall durability that AKA inserts are known for. The result is a more predictable handling car in the harshest track conditions. Last but not least SC R-Line pre-mounts are all hand assembled using AKA’s best selling tire glue to ensure a perfect bond every time.
